EFOR FERTILIZER
We operate our 36 thousand square meter Efor Fertilizer facility in Samsun, with storage, logistics and 2.56 Mw rooftop solar power. We have approximately 160 thousand tons of storage space in a 20 thousand square meter closed area with our 9 thousand square meter closed warehouse, 6 thousand square meter open area, A general warehouse and administrative building. We plan to start production under the Efor Fertilizer brand in 2024 in our machinery park, which we have renewed with the latest technology. Our aim is to produce 100 thousand tons of granulated fertilizer annually.
As Efor Fertilizer we will enable farmers to achieve higher productivity by converting the fertilizers we import into inhibitor/slow-release products. We will continue our re-export activities by exporting these products back to Europe. In this context Efor Fertilizer aims to export 50 million dollars in 2024 and 100 million dollars in 2025, we will move rapidly towards becoming the exporting company of the region. We plan to open a production facility that can produce its own energy in Iskenderun in 2025.
As Efor Fertilizer we meet all of our energy needs from renewable energy with the solar power plant we implemented on the roof of our Samsun facility. With 5 thousand 120 solar panels, we prevent approximately 1 million 400 thousand kg of greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere annually. In this way, we contribute to nature equivalent to the amount of CO2 converted by more than 65 thousand trees in a year. In this way, we significantly reduce the carbon footprint of our facility.
Efor Fertilizer supplies farmers with the right fertilizers at the right time and under the right conditions.
We work with customers and cooperatives such as Pankobirlik and sugar factories and also supply products to tea farmers in Rize. As Efor Fertilizer we establish trial gardens for sustainable tea agriculture. We are working on producing healthier tea by feeding tea plant with correct fertilizers. We perform leaf/product analyzes to understand whether fertilizers leave heavy metal residues. At the same time, we provide training to farmers and aim to support domestic production and transfer it to the future in the most accurate and healthy way.
